In order to adapt desktop version of a planogram to iPad version, as a visual designer, I created pop-up windows, notices, froms, drop-down buttons, icon set, toolbar, assts, segmented controls, toggles and etc.
Project Summary
In this school project, I needed to do some generative research to help them discover opportunities for new products or solutions (e.g. mobile apps and digital kiosks) to help improve the experience of travelers when traveling by air. I had to conduct interviews around air travel experience and create a high-level user journey map.
Research Methodology
1) Personas
I chose two people, one single man who travels with friends and a young mother with a 1-year-old child that travels with her baby girl and her husband for an interview.
The reason that I chose them was that they are two people with different goals and needs based on their gender, responsibilities, and situation. Meanwhile, they have things in common. So overall I could understand different users with different needs and not just focus on one type of user.
2) Unstructured Interview
• Conducting an unstructured interview session with each participant to discover their experience while traveling by air.
3) Creating Journey Map
• Analyzing and combining the responses to create a single User Journey map with the following information
• Key touch-points or steps in the journey
• For each step: (The traveler goal(s), key activities and tasks, challenges and pain-points, key user quotes, emotions/feelings)
Product Suggestions
1) help users to find the best options on the desired date like a very detailed search engine that first gather and put all users’ information like needs, desires, budget, activities, requirements, conditions like having kids, etc...
2) by narrowing down all those info to a smaller list and best travel options and packages available at that time they choose properly for their desires and budgets.
3) If this product is used by a group of people they can all see those options and packages first and then discuss and choose the best option that everyone likes between them.
4) After they choose the destination and book their flight at the time that everyone is OK with, they can do the same for activities that they are going to do together.
Project Summary
As our class assignment, I have been hired by a client - A Tree and Landscaping Service – to revamp their current website. I had made recommendations about the website’s user experience which to a large part entails its content and help them incorporate better quality content going forward.
Research Process for A New and Better Content Strategy
1) First I did a qualitative audit of the current website’s content and put them all in a spreadsheet, consisting of the following criteria:
a. URL
b. Page title
c. Content Type(s)
d. Writing quality
e. Voice and tone
f. Effectiveness
g. Calls to action
2) I also included artifacts that could further help inform my content strategies, such as a primary persona and a quick competitive scan.
3) Then I had recommendations for the website’s content, create a site navigation structure (sitemap)
4) I Conducted a closed card sorting exercise with four users
5) Created a second, modified sitemap incorporating card-sorting results since they varied from your original site map.
